Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with System Alternatives.
What we collect
We collect contact details and business information you provide (name, company, email, phone), plus technical data such as IP address, browser/device info, and form metadata. Support tickets and attachments may include logs or files you share. For AI or integration work, any client data is scoped by engagement and protected under your agreement.
How we use it
- Respond to inquiries, support requests, and service delivery
- Improve site reliability and security (logs and abuse prevention)
- Provide status updates and billing communications
- Fulfill contractual obligations in our service agreements
- Follow up with you about Free Domain Health Check results you request
Free Domain Health Check
When you run our Free Domain Health Check, we collect the name, email address, phone number and business website you enter, along with your IP address. We use these to show you your results and to send your contact details and results to our team, who may contact you by email or phone about your results and how we can help.
The check itself only looks at publicly available information about the website you enter: its DNS records, its public web pages and security settings, domain registration data, and public spam blocklists. It does not log in to or scan your systems. To run these lookups, the website name (not your contact details) is sent to the public services that provide this information, including Cloudflare and Google DNS, domain registries, spam blocklist operators, Google PageSpeed Insights and EasyDMARC. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to block automated abuse.
If you request the full report, we only email it to an address at the website that was checked. Check results are stored briefly to speed up repeat checks, and requests are logged for security and abuse prevention.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share limited information with vetted service providers (e.g., email, ticketing, payment processors) solely to deliver our services. If required by law or to protect security, we may disclose information to authorities.
Security
We use access controls, logging, encryption in transit, and malware scanning for uploads. For AI and integration projects, data handling follows your policy and any documented data boundaries.
Cookies & preferences
We use essential cookies for site functionality (e.g., CSRF tokens, session/state), and we use cookies for analytics and advertising purposes. Theme preference and your cookie choice are stored locally on your device.
- Necessary: core site functionality, such as remembering your theme preference and your cookie consent choice. These are always active and don't require consent.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, used to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising: Google Ads, used to measure ad performance and, where enabled, personalize the ads we show.
Analytics and Advertising cookies are off by default. When you first visit the site, a banner lets you Accept All, Reject All, or choose specific categories. You can review or change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer.
Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your information where applicable. If you are a California resident, you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined under California law) by selecting "Reject All" or turning off the Advertising category in Cookie Settings. Contact us at info@systemalternatives.net or call 503-878-8000.
Changes
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
